Prescription Medicines Order Line (MOL) - NOTICE

LAST UPDATED: 6 April 2020

Due to the volume of calls currently coming through the Medicine Order Line, we are now operating a call back system so that we can get through our high volume of calls. Staff will take your details and arrange for a call back to be made within 2 working days. Operating this service means that we can provide a service to more people during the day.  Please bear with us and thank you for your patience, understanding and support as we move to this new system of working.

In response to the demand we are currently receiving, we:

  • are training additional members of staff to take calls

  • have temporarily extended the opening hours - both sites are now open 8am - 4pm

  • have added messages onto the call queue to let people know the waiting times are longer than usual

  • added a link on our website to email a request for a callback from a MOL team member to save patients queuing.

Other ways you may be able to order your medications:

  • Online or via the NHS App. For more information about the NHS App please click here

  • Contact your GP surgery directly for further advice.

Some pharmacies offer a delivery service, so please enquire about this at your local pharmacy. A list of pharmacies is available here.

For information about how to get medicines outside normal pharmacy/GP practice opening hours please visit www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-body/out-of-hours-medicines/

PLEASE NOTE: Please do not visit your GP practice or pharmacy if you are concerned you may have coronavirus or may have come into contact with someone who has. The NHS 111 online service has coronavirus information pages which tell patients what to do based on their individual circumstances. These can be found here.
