Coronavirus Accessible Information Communication Toolkit

As we all know it is vital that we communicate with all of our audiences effectively. During the Coronavirus pandemic the need to do so is even more acute.

Health Education England’s national Library and Knowledge Services team has made available the https://library.nhs.uk/ website which hosts information resources which front line staff can use to help them communicate effectively with patients, clients, and their families around Coronavirus. The website includes easy read, sign language and Makaton formats as well as other communication guidance. All materials on the website meet the accessible information standard.

We would be grateful if you could use the communications toolkit at this link using the password LKSResources to communicate with those who you feel would benefit from this resource, using your existing channels both internal and external. Contained within the toolkit are suggested social media posts and graphics, internal and external newsletter copy as well as a branded email signature and banner.

If you have any questions about the toolkit, the website, or the resources it contains please do not hesitate to contact carl.jessop@hee.nhs.uk, Communications Programme Manager for Health Education England.
