Neuro Development Support

The NHS currently offers diagnosis and some post diagnosis offers of support for children and young people with Neuro Developmental needs, (including Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and their families. We are working alongside Derby and Derbyshire schools, Local Authorities, voluntary services, parent carer forums and other NHS organisations to look at the system wide offer of help and support to identify areas for transformation.

Learning Disability Health checks

Did you know that if you are over 14 years old and have a diagnosed Learning Disability you are entitled to an annual health check with your GP? To find out more information including how to access this health check and what happens, follow this link:

KOOTH 

A platform to provide information, advice & support on emotional well-being and mental health, articles, messages and online therapeutic / supportive conversations for children and young people aged 11-25 in Derby and Derbyshire.

QWELL 

Developed for parents and carers of young people under the age of 18, to provide information, advice & support on wellbeing and short term therapeutic / supportive conversations.

Mental Health Support Line 

A new mental health support line run by the NHS and operating 24 hours, seven days a week has been set up to provide access to support for people of all ages in Derby and Derbyshire. 

The line is run by experienced mental health professionals who are equipped to provide mental health support and advice, support for people experiencing immediate distress or to their families or carers & a professional point of contact for health and social care partners to support any individuals in mental distress.
